Eagle Island State Park

We crossed off another item on our long list of things to do while we are here. We drove to Eagle, Id and went to the "beach". The kids were so excited. Daisy asked if there were any waves. Uh, not that kind of a beach Daisy. We took a picnic and had some fun. Could these 2 be any more obnoxious? I ask them to smile and this is what they both did. Like father, like daughter. Nerds.
They had a water slide. We were trying to convince Daisy to go down and she wasn't sure and Lindsay is like I'll go. She was barely tall enough but we paid for the tickets and off she went. Daisy then decided she wanted to go too. They each got ten slides and that was for sure the highlight of their day.

Why can't people just stay by each other and look at the camera for like 5 seconds for a picture?Cooper kept running off so I had to take a seperate picture of him.

We had lots of fun! I can't wait for our fun adventures next weekend.

New Sunday Tradition

It seemed like we were always at my parents or Jeff's for Sunday dinner. Now that we are here all alone I decided we need to make Sunday's special for our family. After dinner was over and I cleaned it all up I was tired. I layed on the couch and kind of jokingly told Jeff that our new tradition should be that he makes dessert. He said ok and got right up and got a brownie mix out. Cooper wanted to help too. I don't care if we have brownies every Sunday. As long as I don't have to make it or clean it up.

Park

We found the coolest park. It has a splash pad, climbing rocks for the kids, baseball fields, tennis courts, horseshoes, a huge playground, and a gorgeous green field to run around in. We are definitely spending our summer hear. We weren't planning on getting wet but when we left our kids were drenched from head to toe. Cooper's diaper almost exploded. The splash pad looks like a pirate ship and alot of the playground has these towers you can climb and look out.
I almost peed my pants when I saw my girls swinging in these swings!

They have a whole bunch of different pipes that you can hit and it makes cool music. The girls were in heaven. Cooper will love it too, he just never made it past the water. He thought it was the coolest thing that he was in his clothes and we weren't getting mad at him for splashing in the water.

The Big Move

I just flew back from Idaho yesterday. Jeff started school yesterday and is enjoying it this far.
So here's our adventure in a nutshell:
Jeff and I drove out last Tuesday morning. We had his truck and trailer plum full of as much furniture and belongings as we could fit in there. We looked like the Beverly Hillbillies. But I must say that Jeff and his dad packed it perfectly. We made it safe and sound to Orem, Ut and got to spend Wednesday & Thursday visiting cousins, my sister & grandparents.
Friday we headed to our new home in Boise. We had an apartment lined up but when we got there, we decided it was not a place we could live with our 3 kids. Can you say GHETTO? Seriously. It was bad. I wanted to cry. But then a miracle happened. We said a prayer and decided to just drive to Meridian (where his school is.) and just try to find a place. We had tried to find an apartment in Meridian to begin with but didn't have such luck. Long story short, we found one and I feel so blessed! We actually tried to get an apartment there already but they didn't have any available at the time. It is perfect. It's a 3 bedroom, 2 bath. A big pool and playground right behind our unit. We were able to get approved and got the keys within 2 hours. The only bad thing is it is on the 3rd floor. That's gonna get old real fast. We found out what ward we were in and Jeff called our new bishop to ask if he could help find a couple of guys to help move us in. We were thinking Saturday because it was like 6:30 on Friday night. Well the bishop called us back and within about 15 minutes we had 6 guys! They moved us all in in about 40 minutes! It was awesome! We got all unpacked on Saturday and got our groceries. We went to our new ward on Sunday and felt so welcome and even got brownies from a family that night! I flew out Monday morning. The girls are finishing up school and then we will head out on May 18th. My mom is driving up with me. We are excited for this adventure ahead. It's a little scary, but we are ready for it.
