Oak Creek Canyon

We love going up to Sedona every fall to see the leaves. We're sad when it doesn't fit our schedule to go. It's as close as fall as we can get for us Arizona people. We walk through a campground and play in the leaves and have a picnic lunch. It's the best day trip ever!

This picture is funny because it's just proof that I'm not the only one Cooper won't smile for. Grandpa kept trying to take his picture.

The 5 year old in front of the speed limit sign.
This picture was totally staged. He doesn't have time for this. I told him to put his head on my shoulder and he did for like 5 seconds but at least we got a picture of it.

So Pretty!
Proof that we are definitely from the valley. I wear my flip flops year round.

Kissing Cousins

We went to Oak Creek Canyon on Saturday with the Hall's. I heard all this noise and look over and see Cooper sitting on a rock with his cousin Avery smiling and letting everyone take pictures. So I ran over to grab a couple. They were so cute. Avery kept going in for a kiss and Cooper would just sit there and let her. We were all laughing at how cute it was.

We told Cooper to hug Avery and he about knocked her off the rock. We had a great day! I'll post some more pretty picks later.

Girl's Chorus

Daisy and Lindsay take a choir class every Wednesday afternoon after piano lessons. Daisy takes piano from her grandma Hall. Then they walk down the street to the Bradshaw's for choir. They had their first recital last Wednesday. They did a great job. And they have the best teachers! Thanks Miss Maren and Miss Candice! This picture below is next door to the Bradshaw's. They go all out on holiday decorations. Good thing Jeff grew up in this neighborhood so we won't get in trouble for trespassing.
Good job girls!

How we spent our Fall Break.

Lindsay wore this hat the whole time. Thanks Jamee. We monkeyed around at the park.
Grandma Shellee thought she could still do tricks. She can't. But we got a good laugh out of it.
We got a flat tire. Good thing it was in town and Devin came to our rescue.
Kristin had a birthday so we made her a cake. And then we played lots of cards. And ate lots of food. And stayed up way too late.
Cooper hung out on the couch and drank milk all night.I got to sleep in this cute bed. Of course Lindsay kicked me all night. That's alright, I got her back by snoring, so she says.

Grandma & Daisy wore matching clothes. And pondered the many things of life? Daisy was the only one who could do the monkey bars. We all tried. Good thing there are no pictures or I would have looked like my mom. :)
Lindsay was just her cute self!
Cooper collected rocks everywhere we went. And made sure that I never saw his face.
We had a fabulous 4 days in Show Low. Thanks again to Devin & Kristin who set us up in the cutest casita! And the weather was perfect! Hopefully next year we can do it again. Or sooner.

Cooper's Car

Well so he thinks. Jeff came home with this 1971 VW Squareback because he got a "smokin" deal. I got to deal with it in the garage for way too long. So everytime we went in the garage Cooper would say, "Pooper(that's how he says his name) car!" Jeff is taking out the engine to rebuild it or whatever and fix it up all fancy to sell. So spread the word! :)
It's actually a pretty cool car. The body is perfect. Even the interior is good too. One seat has a big rip so he'll probably recover those.
Boys and their toys. I will never understand. Oh see in the left hand corner that lime green thing? It's and end table I bought at Goodwill that I'm gonna repaint. I haven't decided yet what color.

More pics from the week

Ok these are a little out of order. Plus I don't know how to put a whole bunch of pics on one post. Blogger only lets me do like 5 at a time. What do I do? Anyways, during the priesthood session I went to my in laws and all the cousins played and had pizza while the moms hung out. My two cute Halloween girls.

My parents are re landscaping their backyard so during the Saturday sessions they were out raking so my kids of course had to get in on the action. Jeff went scouting for his big hunt in a couple of weeks so I hung out with my family on Saturday. We stripped Cooper down to his diaper. Can we say white as snow? Definitely his dad's skin. He took his job very seriously.
I was trying to take a pic of the 2 girls in their Halloween shirts and of course when I don't really want Cooper in it, he runs over and says cheese! I guess I should take what I can get from that kid!
Sunday was great! We hung out in our PJ's and watched conference. The girls worked on their conference packet and I finished Daisy's baptism book. Only 7 months later. Ok so I'm not totally finished yet.

Our week in pictures

This is getting old! I put it outside the laundry room cause I was sweeping/mopping the floor. And I walk around the corner and see this. I actually got the giggles when I saw that he was dumping it into his truck. But that face is hilarious. He knew he was in trouble, but he was also trying not to smile.
But then he does this and melts my heart. At night when we're getting ready for bed, I can usually see him laying on Lindsay's bed reading a book.
I've been letting my hair get longer, but I don't know if I should keep it real short or do a short bob. What do you think? I need advice!
ARRRR! Too bad my cute pirate won't look at the camera!
I'm loving this fall weather!

Here we go again

Oh my sweet little Daisy girl. Please stop growing up! She's lost yet another. We haven't had any for awhile and I was quite enjoying it. When she told me her tooth was loose, I thought to myself, please lose it at school so I don't have to. I've posted this before, but I am not a dentist. I get so queasy. So of course last night she begged me to pull it out. It was just hanging, but I think she has what I have and it grosses her out too. So I would pull a little then giver her the TP and she would pull a little and give it back. So what could have been down in 2 seconds took us about 10 minutes. Where's Jeff in all this you ask? Downstairs pretending he doesn't know what we're doing. (He's a wussy as we are. Shhh don't ell)
Lindsay, Lulu, please, please don't grow up! She was a good cheering fan. She keeps asking when her teeth will fall out. Never I say!
P.S. I hate the tooth fairy!I mean come on, we're 8 & 1/2 and we still believe that a little fairy comes while we're sleeping and takes our tooth and leaves money? What? And plus, she is so dang forgetful it takes her like a week to get here!
But they're only young once, so we will still believe in the tooth fairy as long as we can.
