Temple Walk

My sister Toree invited Daisy to do the temple walk with her and her young women's on President's Day. The got up very early and got dropped off at the Mesa temple and walked to the new Gilbert temple that is under construction. It was 14.5 miles. I am so proud of Daisy for doing this. She was a little hesitant. Honestly, I didn't think she would make it. They walked to their church which was a half way point. She had the chance to quit. Toree asked her if she wanted to and Daisy said no. Toree told her to quit complaining then. haha. I think that's what she needed to hear from someone she looks up to. I drove down to the end to see her finish and take a picture of her in front of the new temple.

Disneyland!!!!!

I went to Disneyland this weekend with some good friends. We had so much fun! We left Thursday morning and drove into California and went straight to shopping! We got to our hotel and relaxed then got up early Friday to get to Disneyland when it opened. There were hardly any lines so we rode all the rides we wanted too and had lunch. Then we went over to California Adventure, went to Downtown Disney to watch a movie, then back to Disneyland. That night we went to Bubba Gumps for dinner. Saturday we went back to Disneyland. The lines were way too long so we went to California Adventure and Downtown Disney again. Then we went to another movie and relaxed at the hotel and got up and drove home Sunday. We ate so much food I can't even tell you. But I'm pretty sure I walked it off and laughed it off. I had the best weekend with these girls!

Daisy girl

Daisy on her way to church. She is going to Beehives for the first time today. She was excited, but a little nervous. I am so proud of her. She earned her Faith in God award and got recognized in church today. Way to go Daisy!

Young Woman camp out

Daisy got to go to her first young woman activity 2 days after her birthday. They were doing pre certification for camp since it's trek this year. I got to go out for the night to be with the YCL's from last year. I was glad I was able to spend time with her. She has gotten to know some of the girls in young womans from our ward. She had a fun trip.

Daisy has gotten to know Alyssa. She turned 14 about a week before Daisy turned 12 so they aren't in the same class but they have fun together.

I have a 12 year old!

We woke Daisy up for school and had her open her presents in bed. Not too exciting when you have to go to school all day on your birthday. She had her friend Brylee come home with her and then we took her to Barro's for her dinner and then came home and had cake and ice cream. I can't believe I have a young woman!

Lindsay the hunter

Lindsay's favorite birthday present was the camouflage shirt and hat she got from her daddy. He's been hunting on Saturdays and she always begs to go so he bought her what she needed so she could go with him. She might be the only hunting partner he gets. I'm not sure if Cooper is into it.

Lindsay is 9!

Lindsay turned 9 today. She had her friends from school and church over yesterday for her party. We decided to have a snow party. Her birthday is in January but in Arizona it doesn't feel like snow. We made marshmallow guns and had a "snowball" fight. The girls (and Cooper) had so much fun!

Boy in a box

Cooper decided he wanted to sleep in this box one night. He got all of his blankets and could barely fit in it. But he was determined to sleep in it. It lasted about 5 minutes. haha

Go cart

Jeff found a good deal on a go cart. He's been wanting something we could take up to the cabin. We decided to take it out to the yard one Saturday to give it a try. I actually don't think the kids enjoyed it as much as we thought, but it will be fun to ride up in the mountains.

New Years Eve

I have to share this picture cuz it made me happy. Daisy let Lindsay sleep in her bed almost every night during the break. I enjoyed hearing them in there giggling and talking at night. Of course they got very little sleep but I never had a sister close enough in age to do this with.We got invited out to the desert on New Years Eve by our good friends. The kids had fun playing with their friends and the adults enjoyed visiting and relaxing. We had a yummy dinner and campfire that night.

Christmas Morning

The kids opened up their new pj's and had a sleepover in Daisy's room on Christmas Eve.

Daisy pretending she isn't excited:)

Santa was good to us this year and the kids got what they wanted. Daisy got a ukulele and a football. Lindsay finally got a DS. She's been asking for 3 years.

Cooper got his shark ship.

We had a nice relaxing morning. We didn't have church til 11 and we had no where to be. We got to enjoy a quiet day and play toys and watch movies. It was fabulous.

Christmas Sunday

I love having Christmas on Sunday. Even better, is that our new church is finished and it's across the street from our neighborhood so we get to walk to church now. I love it.

Christmas Eve

Cooper was 'ninja' Joseph.

Daisy backed out playing Mary at the last minute (boy those pre teen girl hormones are gonna be the death of me) so I got to be Mary.

We spent Christmas Eve at the Day's. We had dinner, played games, exchanged gifts, and had the nativity. Then we had to drive home and get in bed so Santa could come.
