Eagle Island State Park

We crossed off another item on our long list of things to do while we are here. We drove to Eagle, Id and went to the "beach". The kids were so excited. Daisy asked if there were any waves. Uh, not that kind of a beach Daisy. We took a picnic and had some fun. Could these 2 be any more obnoxious? I ask them to smile and this is what they both did. Like father, like daughter. Nerds.
They had a water slide. We were trying to convince Daisy to go down and she wasn't sure and Lindsay is like I'll go. She was barely tall enough but we paid for the tickets and off she went. Daisy then decided she wanted to go too. They each got ten slides and that was for sure the highlight of their day.

Why can't people just stay by each other and look at the camera for like 5 seconds for a picture?Cooper kept running off so I had to take a seperate picture of him.

We had lots of fun! I can't wait for our fun adventures next weekend.

New Sunday Tradition

It seemed like we were always at my parents or Jeff's for Sunday dinner. Now that we are here all alone I decided we need to make Sunday's special for our family. After dinner was over and I cleaned it all up I was tired. I layed on the couch and kind of jokingly told Jeff that our new tradition should be that he makes dessert. He said ok and got right up and got a brownie mix out. Cooper wanted to help too. I don't care if we have brownies every Sunday. As long as I don't have to make it or clean it up.

Park

We found the coolest park. It has a splash pad, climbing rocks for the kids, baseball fields, tennis courts, horseshoes, a huge playground, and a gorgeous green field to run around in. We are definitely spending our summer hear. We weren't planning on getting wet but when we left our kids were drenched from head to toe. Cooper's diaper almost exploded. The splash pad looks like a pirate ship and alot of the playground has these towers you can climb and look out.
I almost peed my pants when I saw my girls swinging in these swings!

They have a whole bunch of different pipes that you can hit and it makes cool music. The girls were in heaven. Cooper will love it too, he just never made it past the water. He thought it was the coolest thing that he was in his clothes and we weren't getting mad at him for splashing in the water.

The Big Move

I just flew back from Idaho yesterday. Jeff started school yesterday and is enjoying it this far.
So here's our adventure in a nutshell:
Jeff and I drove out last Tuesday morning. We had his truck and trailer plum full of as much furniture and belongings as we could fit in there. We looked like the Beverly Hillbillies. But I must say that Jeff and his dad packed it perfectly. We made it safe and sound to Orem, Ut and got to spend Wednesday & Thursday visiting cousins, my sister & grandparents.
Friday we headed to our new home in Boise. We had an apartment lined up but when we got there, we decided it was not a place we could live with our 3 kids. Can you say GHETTO? Seriously. It was bad. I wanted to cry. But then a miracle happened. We said a prayer and decided to just drive to Meridian (where his school is.) and just try to find a place. We had tried to find an apartment in Meridian to begin with but didn't have such luck. Long story short, we found one and I feel so blessed! We actually tried to get an apartment there already but they didn't have any available at the time. It is perfect. It's a 3 bedroom, 2 bath. A big pool and playground right behind our unit. We were able to get approved and got the keys within 2 hours. The only bad thing is it is on the 3rd floor. That's gonna get old real fast. We found out what ward we were in and Jeff called our new bishop to ask if he could help find a couple of guys to help move us in. We were thinking Saturday because it was like 6:30 on Friday night. Well the bishop called us back and within about 15 minutes we had 6 guys! They moved us all in in about 40 minutes! It was awesome! We got all unpacked on Saturday and got our groceries. We went to our new ward on Sunday and felt so welcome and even got brownies from a family that night! I flew out Monday morning. The girls are finishing up school and then we will head out on May 18th. My mom is driving up with me. We are excited for this adventure ahead. It's a little scary, but we are ready for it.

Adios!

Our cable/internet is getting shut off tomorrow so this is it. We have 3 days left in our house. It is really sinking in. I have been a mad women cleaning and packing. Jeff and I are leaving next week then I will be back at my moms with my kids until school is out!

Easter

This is about as good as it gets right here. Cheesy smiles and all. Happy Easter. We are so grateful for this time of year. The weather is beautiful and we got to be with our families. We will definitely miss this. We are grateful for the Atonement and the impact it has on our lives. I took the girls to the Easter Pageant and we sat super close and it was such a neat experience to sit with them and answer their questions. I think that really helped them understand why we really celebrate Easter.

Easter Saturday

Growing up, we always celebrated Easter on Saturday so we could do all the fun stuff associated with Easter so we could remember why we really celebrate this holiday on Sunday. We started the day off with a yummy breakfast at the Flight Deck Cafe out at the Williams Airport. Of course we had to go watch a couple of them take off. It was rainy and cold but we had fun. Cooper was loving it. While we were eating breakfast he was looking all around the restaurant at all the little airplanes they have hanging from the ceiling. He didn't even eat he was so happy. Well I saw this older lady at the other table watching Cooper then I saw her leave. She had gone to the gift shop and bought a little airplane and came over and gave it to Cooper. She said she enjoyed watching him and wanted to buy him one since he looked like he was enjoying it so much. Wow! Who says there isn't nice people in the world? That totally made my day and Coop's to I'm sure.

Growing up we had this tradition where we all had a string and we had to roll it up and follow it around the house so we could find our baskets and prizes. We haven't done it for years so even Jamee and Toree got in on the action. My girls loved it. Cooper was stressed out. He would try to go from room to room and cry cause he couldn't figure out how to get there so we told him to crawl but he didn't like that either. But he loved his prize at the end so it was worth it.

Avery had no clue what was going on. We were trying to get everyone to smile and he wouldn't turn around cause he was busy staring at them.

Trying to get a picture with the grandkids. Cooper has a mouth full of candy and Avery is trying to figure out how to get an egg so he can have candy too. We were going to have a BBQ but it was still wet outside so we had our egg hunt inside and ordered pizza. Then Aunt Corri colored eggs with my girls. It was a fun day.

Field Trip

When the light rail opened they had their grand opening and we took Cooper to ride the train. Well everyone else had the same idea. It was so crowded that we ended up riding it for one stop and got off and rode the bus instead. Since everyone was on the train, we had the bus to ourselves. So Jeff started up a conversation with the bus driver. When we got off the bus he gave us 2 free all day passes to ride the bus or light rail. So we have been wanting to take Cooper for a few months. Jeff was home on a Friday so we decided to take our own field trip while the girls were in school. Cooper had a smile on his face all day. We sat right behind the driver and he loved watching them push all the buttons.
We rode out to Chase Field and had lunch at a pizza place then we walked around. We got back on the train and headed home. We ended it with a yummy treat from Sonic! I enjoy doing things with my kids and it really is fun to have one on one time with each of them. I try to go on as many field trips with my girls as I can so I thought Cooper deserved a little of my attention. Thanks Jeff for a fun day!

Seriously?

So at Christmas time we were able to give our crib away. I thought he was ready for a big bed. We even had one waiting for him. We got it set up and the crib taken away and then it started. He would not sleep in his bed. I had to lay by him until he fell asleep so nap time didn't always happen cause I would have to lay there with him and I would usually fall asleep too. This went on from the end of Dec. until March. I finally told Jeff I was going to go buy a pack in play. My mom had a friend that said I could borrow hers. Well lets just say he has slept through the night every night since I got it like 3 weeks ago!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously are you kidding me?  He's gonna be in that thing until he's 5!

Guard Dog

Look at Chalupa's mouth! We were laughing so hard when we saw the picture. I'm sure he could really scare someone off. At least my kids are intimidated. Sometimes.

HaPpY SpRiNg!

The weather has been perfect so we were enjoying our morning before church.

Spring Break

I was really bad at taking pictures this week. I forgot my camera half the time.
Monday: We got to watch our cute nephew Avery for the day. We hung out at my mom's and went to her park. That night I took the girls to dinner and then we went to Old Navy for flip flops. Daisy's feet finally grew!
Tuesday: We went to Freestone Park with my mom, Corri, & Avery. The kids all had fun. By 11:30 though it was super hot so we had to leave. We went and cooled off with lunch and an ice cream cone.

Daisy and Lindsay took their bikes to the park. They would take their bikes to the top of the hill and ride down them! If you know my girls you know they don't like anything fast. I was shocked that they enjoyed going down the hills. Freestone has some big hills. I can't believe how much fun they had.

Wednesday: My kids were "bored" So we went to downtown Mesa and went to the Youth Museum. We spent 2 hours there and they all had fun. Even Cooper was nice.
Thursday: We headed up to Payson so we could be with Jeff. He's been working M-Th up there. He stays in my brothers house that they are trying to sell. So it was camping on the floor in a really nice house. Thanks Devin & Kristin! You guys are the best! We hung out in Payson until Friday afternoon. We went to the park, lake, went on bike rides and just hung out in the back yard on the beautiful patio.
When we went to the lake, Lindsay was running and fell and scraped her knees. Well she kept crying and dragging it out to where it was so fake. So I was trying to get her to laugh and she was trying to hide it.
Nice face Cooper. I do have to say this kid has been so nice lately! Maybe the terrible two's are coming to an end. He was happy and easy going and he even ate a ton!!!!! That itself was the best thing.

So we got to Payson Thursday around noon and I realized Cooper had no shoes. I left them on the bench in my entry way. So we headed to Walmart. They were just getting out their spring shoes so the boy dept. was empty. The only shoes I could find were these flipflops that were 2 sizes too big and no backs on them. He had the hardest time walking in them. He would just shuffle his feet along. It was so funny.

Daisy's Book Reports

Daisy has done 3 book reports this year. I didn't get a picture of the last one she did. It was on Betsy Ross and she cut out stars for the poster board. The picture below is her book report she did on dogs. She got 100%. She also had to do a written report along with it.Her first one of the year was Junie B. Jones. She had to write and illustrate scenes from the book. She has a plan and I just help her make it look presentable. She does a good job on them and we are very proud of her.

This Boy=Lots of Laughs

Cooper is finally singing his nursery songs for us. So funny and oh so nerdy. We sure get lots of

laughs from this kid! Enjoy!

Funny story: We were taking the girls to school one morning and Cooper kept saying Pants fall down. But he was wearing his feet jammies so I was telling him he was ok. So I go to pick him up and he has this big bulge around his ankle. I thought he maybe shoved a shirt or something down there. So I unzip his jammies and oh no it wasn't a shirt. He had no diaper on! It had fallen all the way down one leg and was around his ankle. We all had a good laugh. He was telling me Diaper fall down the whole time. He's no dumby. Too bad his mom doesn't know what he is saying half the time.

Saturday Fun

Last Saturday we started the day off with a parade in good ol Apache Junction. It was for Lost Dutchman Days. Seriously this was the longest parade in history. We actually left early and I heard it was almost 3 hours! We had fun though. We sat with our friends, the Hymans. Our girls had alot of fun and kept each other entertained. Cooper loves to just sit and wave to everyone. It is so funny.
We have been waiting a couple of weeks for this next part. Jonas Brothers 3D! Oh it was so fun, I'm not gonna lie. My sisters came and wore their Jo Bros shirts they made awhile ago when they went to their concert.
Daisy invited her friend Hannah to come too. They hung out the night before and at the parade and couldn't get enough of each other. They were so fun to watch. I kept looking over to watch Daisy and my sisters sing the songs. It was very entertaining! It was also very loud! A packed theater of screaming girls is alot to handle. I had to take an Advil when I got home but it was fun and I am glad I was able to take these cute girls!
