Sugar Cookies

Aunt Jillyn came over today after school to make sugar cookies with the kids. Daisy went to Achievement Days and Cooper just didn't care so it was pretty much just Lindsay. She was in heaven having all the attention. They were super yummy. Of course when it was time to frost and eat them, we were all there! Thanks Jillyn.

Too Soon?

I put my tree up tonight. I always wait until after Thanksgiving, but I was dying to put it up. I took Cooper over to my friends house and she already had hers up. So I got the box out after school and the girls were so excited! I just put up my "nice" decorations and I won't let them put on their unmatchy ornaments until after Thanksgiving. I want to enjoy my pretty, matchy tree for a couple of weeks.

First Snow!

Thursday morning Daisy came in my room and yelled, "It's snowing!" It was pretty exciting although it didn't last long. It melted all by Friday, but then on Saturday morning it started snowing again! It didn't last long either, but all day Lindsay kept asking me if I would go have a snowball fight with her. Just wait, there will be plenty of snow for that later.

This was my first "snow driving". Haha! I thought I did good though. I'm so nervous to drive in the snow!

Veteren's Day

My kids had school on Veteren's Day. Kind of weird. So Cooper and I went down to the school for lunch with the girls. Cooper thought he was so cool carrying his own Lightning McQueen lunchbox down the hall. We surprised the girls and they were excited to show off their little brother.
That night the weather was beautiful. The warm before the storm I guess. We raked leaves in the backyard and rode bikes and enjoyed our last warm night I'm sure for a long time.

What Dad's are good for..

A little extra padding for naps! HAHA! I came downstairs Sunday morning and Jeff was asleep and Cooper was laying on top of him drinking his milk!In other news... We learned to play FARKLE this weekend (thanks Genny) and we must have played it too much because Cooper was playing it last night. He would roll all the dice and put his hands up and yell, "FARKLE!" so funny.

My cousin Kimball and his wife Genny, and their kids came to visit us for the weekend before they headed to SLC to see her family. The kids had alot of fun together and I must say that we took 6 kids to dinner Friday and tonight and they were super good! We went to BYU with them today and went to the Bean Museum and finished off at the creamery. We were glad they could come visit and hope to see them again soon! Thanks guys!

13 years!

Oh to be this young and skinny again! Today we are celebrating our 13th anniversary! While I can't say it's been pure bliss, I can say I love him more now and wouldn't trade it for anything. Happy Anniversary Jeff! Many more to come! I love you!

Halloween/more parties

Daisy and Lindsay got invited to their friends from school/ward party. This was the crowd at the party. They had so much fun playing games with all their friends. Lindsay decided to be a cowgirl so she didn't have to spray her hair black again. She forgot how yucky that was to wash out.
We played outside for a little bit. The weather turned out to be beautiful! It was sunny and warm during the day.
We went to University mall and ate dinner and the stores had trick or treating. We did that for a few stores, but it got so crowded so we left.

We came home right as it was getting dark so we decided to go around our neighborhood/ward since it is all within walking distance.

We had a fun Halloween in Utah. It was pretty relaxing for the most part and it was fun to just be able to hang out with our kids.
Happy Halloween!

Halloween Parties

We got to go to the school this morning for a Halloween parade. The girls got to wear their costumes and walk through the cafeteria and show all the parents. Cooper dressed up too and he thought it was great to see his sisters and some of the kids from the neighborhood he knows.
Lindsay was Mulan. (she was also Mulan last year, but she wanted to wear it again. Cooper also rewore his costume. He's even more obsessed with trains this year, if that's possible.)

Daisy was a cute pirate girl.

Then tonight we had our ward Trunk or Treat. I was a little worried it would be raining or snowing cause we had snow earlier in the week and the forecast was predicting rain. It did rain while we were inside eating, but it had stopped for us to trunk or treat. We wore coats and gloves and stayed plenty warm. It wasn't too bad.

Cooper won the cutest costume for ages 5 and under. They picked 4. I must admit, I wasn't surprised he won, he was dang cute. And he loved showing his nursery teachers his costume because they know how much he loves trains. He won this pumpkin eraser and was so happy!
Jeff took Cooper to like 5 cars and he was done. He was so happy with the candy he had. So he spent the rest of the night in the van with me. We had a fun night!

Goodbye My Love!

Jamee decided to go back to AZ. We were super sad when she told us, but we enjoyed her time with us. I hope she did too.

She spent the night at Jillyn's so she could take her to the airport. My kids seriously wouldn't let go of her. They love Aunt Mimi.

So we said our goodbyes and when they left, I walked back in the house and saw Lindsay on the couch just fighting back the tears. As soon as she saw me she just started bawling. It broke my heart. She truly loved having Jamee here. When she got home from school she would get her books she needed to read and go find Jamee to read them too. It was so nice to have her around. She helped me out a ton and I am going through Jamee withdrawls! We love you Mimi!

First Snow

I can officially say today was our first snow. It was hardly any and of course didn't stick, but I had to bundle Cooper up to go out in it. It definitely felt like winter. The girls came home from school and told me how cool it was when they were at recess and it started to snow alot! (they have no idea what's in store.) So I am happy to report we didn't have to use our snow shovel! And I didn't have to drive in it.

Last Day

Jeff came home today and told the girls that today was the last day to wear shorts cause it was snowing tonight and tomorrow. They informed him that they had already put shorts away and had been wearing pants for awhile. So he went and changed into shorts and a tshirt and went and bought a snow shovel! As you can see it got chilly so he put on his hunting coat. What a nerd!
Cooper and Chalupa enjoyed the last of the fall weather by playing in the leaves. The weather was beautiful. If fall is over, I did enjoy it.

Just Because

Cooper is starting with the whole gun and sword thing. I thought maybe he wouldn't get into it since we don't have any of those around. Well we bought Daisy a sword because she is going to be a pirate. It's his new favorite toy. I finally hid it after he almost broke everything in the house.

Lindsay enjoyed crazy hair day at school.
Daisy didn't. (She has refused to let me do her hair on crazy hair day since Kindergarten.)
