Coopers new do

I took a No. 1 to Cooper's head. His hair grows so fast and it drives me crazy so I thought this would take a little longer to grow back. I think it made him crazy!!!!
As you can see we are busy packing around here. The kids found the Halloween box so they kept each other entertained.

He seriously went crazy after I cut his hair. He was running around screaming, jumping off couches and telling me to take his picture while he made silly faces.
What a nerd. He takes after his dad.

But as you can see it wasn't the hair cut after all that makes him crazy. He's just always a goof!
He was keeping everyone entertained at the dentist while we were waiting for Daisy.

Random pics

Cooper loves play doh. And he loves making a mess too.
Cooper went to his friend, Addie's, birthday at Chuck E. Cheese. He loved it!

Lindsay all ready for school.

Cooper looked so big with his big boy flip flops on. They didn't last long. He can't walk in them. He takes after his dad. My girls were wearing them when they were 2.

Cooper loves the dirt.
It's seems like I have a million pics of Cooper and none of the girls. That's what happens when they are at school all day. But they've had lots of things going on and enjoying school and friends. They have lots of things next week for school.

Rock Canyon Extravaganza

The annual spring carnival was super fun! Cooper and Lindsay riding the train with Haley. (Lindsay's school teacher's granddaughter.)Cooper and his friend Mia from our ward. They ran around for a little while together.
The weather was warm, cold, cloudy, sunny. It couldn't make up its mind. But there was a pretty rainbow that you can't see too well with my camera.

Lindsay stood in line for a half hour because she wanted the lady that could paint really good. It was worth it I guess because the other painters were kids.

She picked a Sunflower. And she had her hair sprayed with red polka dots so she was a lady bug.
Daisy was there I promise. But she is at the age where she loves to spend all her time with friends. She went early with her friend and came home later. I saw her once the whole night. Glad she has good friends and was having fun.

3 Reasons I get up in the morning

Mother's Day was kind of crappy for me this year, I'm not gonna lie. But I know it's because Jeff isn't here to celebrate with us. And being a single mom for 5 months has been the worst, and I'm pretty sure my kids are feeling it too. Especially when I know I haven't done my best as a mom. But I love my kids and I am so privileged that my Heavenly Father let me be their mom. And I am so grateful for my sweet hubby because without him I wouldn't be a mom. Life is gonna get better. 2 more weeks and we'll be back together again!!!!!!!!!!

"The responsibility mothers have today has never required more vigilance. More than at anytime in the history of the world, we need mothers who know. When mothers know who they are and who God is and have made covenants with Him, they will have great power and influence for good on their children." Julie Beck October 2007

mother's day brunch

We took a little trip this morning. We picked Jillyn up and went to Ikea for brunch. Then we shipped the kids off to the playland, while we got to shop for an hour. It was super fun hanging with my sister, and I'm so glad Cooper is finally potty trained so he could go in the playland. Daisy didn't know if she wanted to play or shop and I told her she didn't have a choice. This was their Mother's Day present to me. haha! Luckily, she was barely under the height thing. She almost got her way.

Have you had their breakfast there? It is quite yummy, and super cheap!

flowers

I got the best surprise this afternoon. I heard the doorbell ring and Daisy said it was the UPS guy. I hadn't ordered anything so I was surprised to see a big box for me. Inside were 2 dozen roses for me from my hubby. What a surprise. I had just told him that I never got anything for Mother's Day. When I called to thank him he told me he ordered them long before I complained. haha. What a sweetie! Thanks hun! I love you!

Happy Mother's Day to me!

Fun Run!

Rock Canyon Elementary had their annual fun run. It was 2.5 miles. But I'm not gonna lie, it seemed alot longer than that. It sure was fun though. I was waiting to see my kids pass. Lindsay was first so I went with her. Daisy's class was way in the back so we ditched them. Lindsay was pretty good, she ran quite a bit. We ran up the hills, through neighborhoods, and I was pushing Cooper in the jogger. It was a super good work out.

I didn't even see Daisy until Lindsay and I finished. She was more into the social aspect of it I think. When I finally saw her she was just walking and talking with her friends.

And here's proof Cooper came. He whined most of the time in the jogger saying he wanted to go home. But once we ended at the school he wanted to get out and play at the playground.

Spring?!

The weather has been so strange here. The blossoms are everywhere. I am loving these pink trees. They are beautiful. But then the next day, they are covered with snow. My girls wear shorts to school one day, then boots and coats the next. Mother nature, please make up your mind. I would like to pack away my winter clothes and enjoy Spring before I go. We love walking to and from school so we can feed the horses.

This is what we woke up to today, April 30th. That isn't popcorn popping on our apricot tree. That's snow.

Are you kidding me? I absolutely enjoyed the winter here. I loved the snow, it is so beautiful when everything is covered in white. But it is the end of April so it's really bugging me now.

School project

Daisy had a school assignment for a county in Utah. She was lucky enough to get Utah County so we didn't have to travel far to explore it. We spent a couple of days when Jeff was here, driving around, taking pictures, and enjoying the beauty of Utah in the spring. I got to go to her class and watch her give her presentation. I forgot to take a picture of her with her posters at home so hopefully you can see some of her posters she made. She did a good job.
I had to try and get a picture of her teacher. He is the best teacher ever!

Daisy and her two good friends, Grace & Kylie.

The worlds longest hopscotch

I should probably check the Guinness Book and see if she really broke a record. See where the girls are standing? Daisy drew a hopscotch with chalk and it started there and ended where I was, in front of the neighbors house. She measured it and it was 97 feet long. Talk about a workout!

Daisy is telling Lindsay what to do. It had little activities every now and then. It was very entertaining to watch. I'm sure my neighbors were laughing at me when I had to do it. Oh yes, can you just see me doing 10 jumping jacks, spinning in a circle 10 times, kissing a blade of grass, and jumping up and down 5 times? It was lovely I'm sure.

It kept them entertained for a couple of days until the rain came. Again.
