Dear Lindsay

I think you are the cutest 6 year old around. I love when I do your hair and you like how it turned out. I love to watch you look in the mirror and tilt your head and smile. It's so cute. I love your happy go lucky attitude on life. I love when you sit next to me and snuggle. You always have a smile for me and are the first one to tell me you love me during the day. I love when I do my hair or makeup and you stand on the stool and watch me and then tell me I look pretty. You are too precious. I love you!

Sunday Drive

The leaves are changing and ever since we went to Vivian Park Monday, I've been dying to go back. Jeff worked today (basically he's been working since Thursday. Like we haven't even seen him) so after church I piled the kids in the car and some snacks and we drove to Sundance and then the Alpine Loop. I think I said "SO PRETTY!!!!!'" like a thousand times. The leaves were bright red and orange. Just heavenly. Daisy was my back seat and sometime front seat driver. She took tons of pics for me.

We came out on the American Fork side so we took a detour to see the temple. So gorgeous!

Good News!

This guy:
GOT A JOB!
I can't tell you how happy we are!!!!!!! It has been a long 5 months to say the least. I do know this though, The Lord knows our thoughts, and intents of our hearts and will never leave us in times of need. I have recognized His hands in all things these past few months and I have become such a better person through all of this. My testimony has been strengthened, my faith stretched, and it has made me want to be a better mom and wife. It has been so hard and at times, I'll admit, I just wanted to run home to my mommy and just quit. But this is something our family had to experience and we have grown closer as a family. We've learned to rely on each other and the Lord. We are so grateful for our family that has supported us through all of this. I have the best mom in the world. When I would call her in tears, she was always there to listen and give good advice. Thanks mom!
WOOHOO! Did I tell you how happy we are? We love our families and miss them, but we are loving Utah! My girls have made good friends and love school. It's just been a good experience for us and we're excited for what's in store for us here. So come visit!!!!!!!!

Vivian Park

We took a drive for FHE up the canyon to see the leaves changing. We were loosing daylight and it was super cold so we didn't go too far. I want to drive the Alpine Loop. It's beautiful this time of year. This is where the "Heber Creeper" comes. We took the girls on it a few years ago. We keep telling Cooper we'll take him when he wears underwear. (That may be never) But he was excited to walk on the tracks. I told him to stand in front of the train and smile and this was his pose. He kept doing it over and over so he really thought that was a good pose.
He walked up and down the tracks saying choo choo.

So I don't have a fancy camera so this pictures don't do justice. I'm almost embarrassed to put it up but I'm telling you it's beautiful! The leaves are bright orange. And it was absolutely chilly out. Fall is here!

BYU Triple Crown

Every year BYU track & field put on a mile race for the elementary schools. They divide up by grade and gender. Daisy came home Monday and told me she wanted to do it. She never really had run a mile before so the past 2 nights we went out. Now her miles we like 16-18 minutes cause she kept wanting to walk so I actually wasn't too sure how it would go today. Cooper was dancing to the music waiting for Daisy's turn.
Jillyn came to cheer her on and made her a sign. How nice. Daisy was excited about that.

Here she is at the starting line.

It was a cross country mile but they ended on the track. We told her to give it all she had at the end and she did.

See her finish time? 10 minutes. I was very proud of her for doing this. There are definitely some fast runners out there. She came in 22 out of 27 4th grader girls. It was alot of fun to watch and hope it's something she'll want to do next year. And I want Lindsay to try it. She was at a birthday party tonight.
Good job Daisy. I'm glad you did it and gave it your best. We're proud of you!

Waiting to get her results.

Still smiling when it's over.

Camping

We have been so excited to go camping since we moved to Utah. There are so many places to go that are so close to our house. We went to Hobble Creek in Springville with Jillyn and Brandon and some of their friends. It was 23 miles from our door to the campsite. It was only one night but we had so much fun and can't wait to go again. I hope we make it somewhere before it gets too cold.

It doesn't matter if you go for one night or 5, you have to take alot of crap!

Chalupa the co-pilot.

The leaves are already starting to change up in the canyon. So pretty.

See the post below how dirty and gross Cooper was. He was in heaven and it was so nice not having to worry about him getting into something he shouldn't. It was free territory for him. He was dirty the first 5 minutes we got there.

We had lots of dogs. They all just wandered and explored. Chalupa had fun with no leash. It stressed Daisy out so she would always put him back on his leash or hold him so he wouldn't get lost.

Lindsay had a ton of fun too. She keeps asking when we can go back and that we need to go for 2 nights instead of 1.
This guy did all the hard work. He even made us girls a potty. How thoughtful.

Dirty boy

Whoever got the dirtiest had the most fun. I think we all know who the winner is!

I took so many pictures of this kid because I couldn't believe how dirty he was. The wet wipes wouldn't even take the dirt off his hands.
