Cabin

We love the cabin. It's fun to get away for a couple of days and do absolutely nothing. We took our friends, The Beals family with us and the girls had fun playing with all the boys. We had 2 eight year olds, 2 five year olds, a 3 yr old, a 1 1/2 yr old and a 6 month. Are we crazy? My two girls were the only girls so let me tell you, it was a loud cabin. But it was alot of fun and we can't wait to go again! Cooper loves the quad and motorcycle. He would let Jeff ride him around all day. Which as you know, Jeff doesn't mind. He finally has someone to go with.
All our crazy kids, minus the baby. Lindsay has stickers on her face. Not chicken pox.
Lindsay and Brendan decided to hand cuff themselves together while they ate popcorn and watched a movie.
Cooper is hammin it up for the camera!

They're funny!

Sunday night the girls were outside swinging and being so loud and laughing. They came running in and told me I had to come see what they were doing.
They had these blow up sports people and had them tucked into their clothes and said they were growing out of them. Daisy was also jump roping with them. I was laughing so hard. I love when they come up with stuff on their own. They are so proud and think they are so funny! Ok- This girl loves to draw on herself, or anything. She took a Sharpie to her blanket and wrote her name on it and drew a picture on it. I always see pen on her legs, arms, feet, etc. So we are always having talks how we don't write on ourselves. So I'm helping her brush her teeth one night and I was cleaning her earrings and I see this. Blue marker all up the back of her ear. What!? So I check the other ear and sure enough it's there too. I showed Jeff and he had to leave the room because he was laughing. He couldn't believe that a child would think to take a marker to the back of the ear. She's pretty entertaining.

JabbaWockeeZ!!!!!!!

I have an obsession! I watch America's Best Dance Crew every Thursday night at 10pm. All the kids are in bed and Jeff's asleep and I turn on MTV and am amazed at this talent. I have wanted these guys (JabbaWockeeZ) to win from the get go and last night they won $100,000 and named as America's Best Dance Crew. And they said that season 2 is coming this summer! Oh I can't wait. And I got my mom hooked on this show too. She loves it! Anyways- did any of you watch it? If not- go to MTV or You Tube. Am I the only one obsessed?

A Pee Boo (peek a boo)

This is Cooper's latest. He went to bed with one of the girls dolls last night and this morning I could hear him talking so I peeked in and he had his blanket over the baby's head. Then he would pull the blanket off and say "A Pee Boo!" He was in the best mood this morning. Then it hit right after dinner. Yep- he's got 'em! (chicken pox) I just have to make it to this weekend and we'll be good and I'll never have to worry about this again! Yeah!

The Superstitions

This is the #1 reason why I love where my house is. I get to look out my window everyday and see this. Growing up here, I never appreciated the desert look, but it sure is growing on me. For Faith in God Days (Activity Days) we hiked up the backside of Silly Mountain and this was our view up top. (almost the top, we had a time limit.) Our purpose of the activity was to enjoy Heavenly Father's creations. I think it's pretty beautiful. My camera really doesn't do justice. It was so much prettier. All the wildflowers were in bloom and so green.
All our girls- we got lots! They loved it. That is Gold Canyon behind them. Our bishop lives at the base of Silly Mountain. His wife is one of the leaders so we met at her house and literally walked out of her backyard to the trail. I love this calling! It seriously is the best!

2 down- 1 to go

Yep- just like they said. If a sibling has the chicken pox it takes about 2 weeks for the other siblings to get it. It was exactly 2 weeks to the day. On Saturday morning Daisy came running out of her room yelling "Lindsay has the chicken pox!" Lindsay was right behind her with a huge smile on her face. It was kind of funny. Except today she has been very itchy and the calamine lotion isn't working. And I don't think she looks this bad. I hate my camera.
I'm ready to ring this kids neck! He is totally living up to the whole 'annoying little brother' thing. He goes up to Lindsay and smacks her back and makes her cry cause then she itches again! He just laughs. This sounds mean but I kind of hope he gets them too so he'll be down for a couple of days:) I'm such a mean mom but he has been running all over the house today just tearing thing up. I'm going crazy. Happy Easter to me!

Spring Break '08

We had a great Spring Break. The best part was that we had no schedule to follow! We stayed up late and slept in everyday. It was great. We actually started it off with a BBQ last Saturday. We had my family over for an Easter egg hunt too because they went to Showlow this weekend. The girls wanted to buy Enchanted on Tuesday so I told them we had to clean the house first. I love bribes. Really this is the only way to get things done around this house. Daisy swept and vacuumed the living room.

Lindsay vacuumed the stairs by herself. She was very proud of herself.
We actually went to different parks almost everyday. This is at Skyline park with the Wheeler's. It's the only time I had my camera.
We bought this blow up pool. Cooper wasn't too sure about it. The water was actually freezing so I don't blame him for not wanting to get in.

We also saw Horton Hears a Who on Monday at the San Tan shops. The kids enjoyed it. I told them if i could go into a couple of stores we'd get lunch and go to the playground. The weather was perfect that day to be outside. We also went to Tumbleweed Park in Chandler on Thursday with our cousins. The girls had a great time. Cooper stayed home with grandma. Good thing, that park is to big. He would have been all over the place. I love Spring! Except that the hot weather is coming. Today is the first day I turned on the air. It hit 79 degrees in the house at like 2:00. But I'm glad we got to enjoy the week of nice weather!

Daisy and I went to the Easter Pageant last night. It was wonderful! We went and got dinner first then went to Old Navy. When we got our blanket out, we went to the Visitor's Center to see the Reflections of Christ exhibit. It was absolutely amazing. I totally got teary eyed at the first picture I saw. Daisy was rubbing her eyes and she saw me looking at her and said "My eyes always water when we go in a room that's kind of dark." I said "Or do you just feel the Spirit?" It's amazing that my daughter is getting older and emotional. She enjoyed the pageant and sat and listened to the whole thing and would tell me about parts that she already knew. It was so nice to just sit and not chase little kids or have to tell them to be quiet so you could hear. Thanks to Jeff who stayed home with the other crazies!

We like this guy!

I realize I never blog about this guy. I'm sure he's not complaining. In fact, I'm sure he won't even see this unless we show him. I don't think he gets the recognition that he deserves so just a little something to show we love him and support him in all that he does.

He kills spiders, mows the lawn, washes, vacuums and repairs the cars, puts up the Christmas lights on our 2 story even though he's afraid of heights, takes out the trash, make sure the sprinklers come on, and occasionally unloads the dishwasher. Without being asked. Hey I'll take what I can get. Those that know him know he is quite the goof. He can always make us laugh even when we pretend we're not amused. It really is hard to live with 3 girls, I'll be the first to admit that so i do appreciate his sense of humor when us girls get a little moody.

We love him. I think we'll keep him around:)

{Happy Saturday}

So I was going to say Saturday is a special day- it's the day we get ready for Sunday. But I was looking at these pics and I think I'll just say:
Happy Saturday from the white trash family. It's like 10 am and we are still in our pj's outside while dad mows the lawn.
This girl is just plain nuts! In my t shirt.
This poor kid hasn't even had his diaper changed this morning. It's sagging so low I can see some of his cute crack.
Showing off their master pieces. Yes we are drawing with chalk on our back patio. Jeff doesn't like this at all. Where else are they supposed to do it at? Daisy and Lindsay sleep in my t shirts. They have like 3 each in their drawer. I guess there comfy.
My nerdy boy is about the only one doing something to get ready for Sunday. He's actually just mowing the lawn cause we're having a BBQ tonight. The grass around the trees were like 2 feet!So have a happy Saturday!

OUR FAVORITE IDOLS

We are obsessed with this show. Really it's just me. Daisy and Lindsay get into it too though. We've been watching it since season 1 so Jeff thinks it's a little old. So here are our favorites. We will update our side bar every Tuesday night with our favorite idol of the week. We're dorks. Just humor us ok? So here we go: Jeff likes David Cook. Not necessarily his favorite but I made him pick one.
Lindsay was a little embarrassed because we were making fun of his hair, but after he sang she said she liked him.

I have two! I can't decide because I really like them both. Chikezie sang good last night.

This is Daisy's. I think just because she knows Jamee & Toree like him. Sorry girls- he choked last night. So there you have it. Who do you like?

Guess who has chicken pox?

This girl:
On Friday she stayed home from school because she felt just "blah". Well on Saturday afternoon Jeff took the girls to get Steve's Crazy Sub (yum). When they came home Jeff said that Daisy had the chicken pox. Sure enough she had a few on her tummy, back and neck. Well Sunday she woke up and had a ton more. She got hit hard. Poor girl. Looks like we're out of school this week! I'm secretly happy to have a low key week. Now I just hope Lindsay and Cooper will get it too so we'll be done with it all at once. She has calamine lotion on her face that's why it looks pasty. And i don't know why her face is so red. She actually looks fine when you look at her face. Not too many on there. Thank goodness. She is such a good little patient. We take oatmeal baths in the morning and then plaster on the lotion so she doesn't itch.

living room

ok so i have had these things for over a year! i know -i have one word for you-lazy! so i finally got them up before we had people over for daisy's baptism. enjoy! holly (my favorite photographer) took these for Christmas of '06(yes i said '06) coop is like 3 months. i love these pics. they are 12x12. i just reordered them in color because i couldn't decide what i liked but i love how blue all their eyes looked so I'm going back to color. thanks holly i absolutely love this wall!
devin & krisitn had these prints laying around so i got them. love em.
my mom gave me all these frames last Christmas with all different prints from Christ's life. i love the frames. they are gorgeous!
this is my entry way. I've had this 'H' for a long time. it was painted black. i took scrapbook paper and ripped it and mod podged it on. i like it so much better. it feels so good to have projects done. my next one is organizing my pantry!

Cooper's new do

before: after: he was not happy with me or grandma
the noise of the clippers scare the heck out of him.

everyone else in the family was getting their hair cut so the coopster was feeling left out. actually he doesn't sit still for nothing and his hair around his ears were driving me crazy. everytime i took out the scissors to cut them he would freak out and i was afraid i would cut his ear. so when i was at my mom's last week i had my mom hold his head and i gave him a short buzz so it will last awhile. now he "looks like grandpa again." (my dad has his hair cut like this so my girls think he looks like my dad.) i think coop looks cute!

skateland

(taylor & daisy's dad are cousins)
daisy had a field trip friday to skateland. it was just the 2nd graders at her school. we had so much fun. it totally brought back "skate night" days when i was in elementary. i would beg my mom to let me go and i would skate my little heart out so i was excited when daisy said she wanted me to go. and guess what? i still got it:) not one fall. and i must say daisy did so good too. she has her own skates but has never really used them. (around the kitchen table) at first she held on to the sides and wouldn't hold my hand but by the end, she was skating all by herself and keeping up pretty good. thanks stephanie for the picture of her and taylor and for the company.

lindsay is hilarious!

i forgot to post this at the end of the soccer post. lindsay was sitting at the snackbar on Sunday while i was making dinner and we had an out of the blue conversation that went like this.
lindsay: "mom is santa mormon?"
mom: "i don't know, why?"
lindsay: "well i think he is because he comes on christmas and christmas is jesus' birthday so he has to be mormon cause we are and so is jesus-so santa is mormon!"
so there you have it. the mind of a 5 year old!

soccer girl

(this is what she usually looks like on the field.)
lindsay wanted to make sure that her soccer pics got put on here. she has enjoyed her first season of soccer. she isn't very aggressive, in fact last night was the first time she actually kicked the ball. and it's the second to the last game. she just all of the sudden got the ball and started kicking it down the field. we were cheering and screaming like crazy. people around me were probably wishing that "soccer mom" would keep her mouth shut:) She also played goalie and stopped 2 goals! (we won't add the fact that she was day dreaming the other 2 times the ball went through!) anyways on the way home we were telling her how when she kicked the ball she did an awesome job. she said, "mom, was i impressive?" (she meant aggressive, but i think she was both) i can't wait for next season!

Daisy's Baptism

Daisy was baptized and confirmed a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints by her father today. It was the best day ever! We had such a beautiful spirit in our home today. We are so proud of daisy and her decision to be baptized. Alot of our friends and family were here and we appreciate it so much. Here is daisy and her dad. right after her baptism in the dressing room.
Grandma Day made her this "comforter"It is the cutest thing ever. She spent alot of time on it and it turned out so cute. She took Daisy shopping for the material but she didn't see the finished project until today.
i look at this picture and it's kind of weird that it's my child getting baptized. i don't feel old enough to have my child be this old!
We started the day off with pedi's. Daisy was in absolute heaven. She had the massager on her back and was so chilled. I told her to not get used to this because today was a special occasion and she's not getting one of these again for a long time. Unless she wants to use her own money.:) All in all it was a great day. We had all our family and friends over after for refreshments and lots of visiting. Life is good.
Daisy and her 2 cousins sang the closing song. They sang When I Am Baptized. It was the sweetest thing ever. They have the cutest little voices. Our ward ended up in the chapel because we had 3 kids get baptized. There was a big crowd and they sang at the pulpit. I am so proud of my child. There is no way I would have done that when I was 8. Everyone came up after and told them how good they did. the spirit was definitely there because Daisy woke up with a fever and Lily ended up throwing up and kept it in her mouth through the last verse then ran out with her dad and threw up in the grass. But nobody would have known because the song was so sweet. And Daisy came home and visited with her family and then went straight to bed because she isn't feeling good. We're so glad she was able to make it through the day. i wish I got a picture of the 3 girls but Lily went home after so I'll have to get one of them later.

my new do!

When Lindsay cut her hair she was so excited that we were "twins". Not anymore though.
I chopped my hair again. I like the fact that it only takes me like 5 minutes to do my hair. And I am not a primper so that's a good thing for me. If I put makeup on I'm doing good.

A great 3 day weekend

So I had alot to post today! We thought our 3 day weekend was going to be very uneventful. It turned out to be "snow" much fun. (I'm a dork) On Friday night at like 7pm Devin called us and said they had an open cabin in Showlow. We were so excited to go play in the snow. we left Sat. morning and brought Jamee with us. On the way up Devin called and told us the snow in Showlow was melting but there was still snow in Heber. That worked perfectly because Jeff's parents and Becky were at the family cabin in Heber. They let us come crash with them for the afternoon. The girls had so much fun sledding down the hill and they made little snowpeople. Daisy wouldn't go down the hill until I was inside with Coop so I have no pics of her. I did take alot of video but I don't know how to put it on the computer. We made it to Showlow and went to dinner with Devin and Kristin then had more Wii game fun. We went to church with them on Sunday and had a yummy steak dinner! We always have good food and fun up there. Thank you so much Devin and Kristin. We always have so much fun with you two! (and the 4 kiddos)

This seriously is the best place. I could eat it everyday if I was rich and wanted to be a fatty. Our girls also share my love for this, so does Jeff. Well Devin & Kristin love it as much as us too. They gave Daisy and Lindsay each a $15 gift card for their bdays. Now we can go alot! We actually went this afternoon for FHE. It was DELICIOUS! I have alot of favorites but always like to try different combos. What do you like when you go? I like this last pic of the healthy indulgence. (YEAH RIGHT)
I think this kid is pretty studly too. Even though he will not look at the camera. Ever. But he has cool hair. And a sweet vest.

Is he just the cutest thing? Avery Jackson Day was blessed on Feb. 3rd. Life is crazy and I forgot to post this but I just got my pictures back and I saw this and had to post it. We are all in love with this boy. We fight over who gets to hold him when we get to see him.
