soccer girl

(this is what she usually looks like on the field.)
lindsay wanted to make sure that her soccer pics got put on here. she has enjoyed her first season of soccer. she isn't very aggressive, in fact last night was the first time she actually kicked the ball. and it's the second to the last game. she just all of the sudden got the ball and started kicking it down the field. we were cheering and screaming like crazy. people around me were probably wishing that "soccer mom" would keep her mouth shut:) She also played goalie and stopped 2 goals! (we won't add the fact that she was day dreaming the other 2 times the ball went through!) anyways on the way home we were telling her how when she kicked the ball she did an awesome job. she said, "mom, was i impressive?" (she meant aggressive, but i think she was both) i can't wait for next season!

Daisy's Baptism

Daisy was baptized and confirmed a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints by her father today. It was the best day ever! We had such a beautiful spirit in our home today. We are so proud of daisy and her decision to be baptized. Alot of our friends and family were here and we appreciate it so much. Here is daisy and her dad. right after her baptism in the dressing room.
Grandma Day made her this "comforter"It is the cutest thing ever. She spent alot of time on it and it turned out so cute. She took Daisy shopping for the material but she didn't see the finished project until today.
i look at this picture and it's kind of weird that it's my child getting baptized. i don't feel old enough to have my child be this old!
We started the day off with pedi's. Daisy was in absolute heaven. She had the massager on her back and was so chilled. I told her to not get used to this because today was a special occasion and she's not getting one of these again for a long time. Unless she wants to use her own money.:) All in all it was a great day. We had all our family and friends over after for refreshments and lots of visiting. Life is good.
Daisy and her 2 cousins sang the closing song. They sang When I Am Baptized. It was the sweetest thing ever. They have the cutest little voices. Our ward ended up in the chapel because we had 3 kids get baptized. There was a big crowd and they sang at the pulpit. I am so proud of my child. There is no way I would have done that when I was 8. Everyone came up after and told them how good they did. the spirit was definitely there because Daisy woke up with a fever and Lily ended up throwing up and kept it in her mouth through the last verse then ran out with her dad and threw up in the grass. But nobody would have known because the song was so sweet. And Daisy came home and visited with her family and then went straight to bed because she isn't feeling good. We're so glad she was able to make it through the day. i wish I got a picture of the 3 girls but Lily went home after so I'll have to get one of them later.

my new do!

When Lindsay cut her hair she was so excited that we were "twins". Not anymore though.
I chopped my hair again. I like the fact that it only takes me like 5 minutes to do my hair. And I am not a primper so that's a good thing for me. If I put makeup on I'm doing good.

A great 3 day weekend

So I had alot to post today! We thought our 3 day weekend was going to be very uneventful. It turned out to be "snow" much fun. (I'm a dork) On Friday night at like 7pm Devin called us and said they had an open cabin in Showlow. We were so excited to go play in the snow. we left Sat. morning and brought Jamee with us. On the way up Devin called and told us the snow in Showlow was melting but there was still snow in Heber. That worked perfectly because Jeff's parents and Becky were at the family cabin in Heber. They let us come crash with them for the afternoon. The girls had so much fun sledding down the hill and they made little snowpeople. Daisy wouldn't go down the hill until I was inside with Coop so I have no pics of her. I did take alot of video but I don't know how to put it on the computer. We made it to Showlow and went to dinner with Devin and Kristin then had more Wii game fun. We went to church with them on Sunday and had a yummy steak dinner! We always have good food and fun up there. Thank you so much Devin and Kristin. We always have so much fun with you two! (and the 4 kiddos)

This seriously is the best place. I could eat it everyday if I was rich and wanted to be a fatty. Our girls also share my love for this, so does Jeff. Well Devin & Kristin love it as much as us too. They gave Daisy and Lindsay each a $15 gift card for their bdays. Now we can go alot! We actually went this afternoon for FHE. It was DELICIOUS! I have alot of favorites but always like to try different combos. What do you like when you go? I like this last pic of the healthy indulgence. (YEAH RIGHT)
I think this kid is pretty studly too. Even though he will not look at the camera. Ever. But he has cool hair. And a sweet vest.

Is he just the cutest thing? Avery Jackson Day was blessed on Feb. 3rd. Life is crazy and I forgot to post this but I just got my pictures back and I saw this and had to post it. We are all in love with this boy. We fight over who gets to hold him when we get to see him.

Happy Heart Day!

So I've told Jeff that I don't want flowers on Valentine's Day because for 1. they are rediculously expensive today and 2. I don't want to know I'm getting them. I want to be surprised. So you would think he would think he was off the hook. Well to my surprise I woke up this morning to find that each of us got a Valentine. Cooper got a little motorcycle, he bought Ding Dongs and a movie for our ding dong girls, and I got a movie and a pedicure and a very nice card. THANKS HUN! YOU"RE THE BEST! WE {HEART} YOU!

Ok so the XOXOXOX pic, I have a story: Lindsay saw this on a paper and asked me what it meant. I told her hugs and kisses but I don't know why they did that. She stares at it for like 2 seconds and says. "Oh I know, the X is hugs cause you hug like this.(she puts her arms around her and they kind of cross each other like an X) The O is a kiss cause your mouth does this when you kiss." (She kind of puckered up but made an O with her mouth)

What the heck! When did my child get so smart? I never thought about it but I really thought that was genius of her. Did you know that?

Happy Birthday!

YOU'VE HAD A BIRTHDAY, SHOUT "HURRAY!" WE WANT TO SING TO YOU TODAY! ONE YEAR OLDER AND WISER TOO. HAPPY BIRTHDAY (CLAP) TO YOU!

Childrens songbook pg285 (just in case you have no clue what we're saying)

The "egghead" picture cracks me up! We are such nerds. But all us sisters have fun together. That's all that matters. Happy Birthday Jillyn!
Jillyn,
Growing up I thought we would never be that close because you are 7 years younger than me and sharing a room with you when I was 8-11 and you were just a little annoying kid was not fun. I remeber always complaining to mom that you and Randy got into my stuff. Then we moved back to AZ and you would rather have been outside with your shirt off playing basketball with the boys:) (had to put that in there) But now look at you, all grown up and married and now I wished we lived closer so we could hang out all the time and laugh. I don't think I laugh as much as when you're around. So happy birthday and you're not annoying anymore!
Love ya! Your oldest and shortest sister!

The Surprise

It's a motorcycle. Jeff got one when he turned 8 and he has been dying for our children to turn 8. It doesn't matter if it's a girl that really doesn't care if she had one or not. So we really know who the motorcycle is for fight? We added the stickers and pink handles to add a little feminie touch to it. We're going riding tomorrow!

Bday post #2

We have had quite the fun filled day! We went to the Hannah Montana 3-D concert thing. It was awesome! My inner rock star just wanted to belt out all the songs (yes I know them all) and get up and dance. But I didn't because I don't want to embarrass myself or my kids. But if you have a chance to go see it, GO! And call us cause I'd go again! Excuse my big fat image in the Hannah Montana sign:)

We are getting ready for the big party now. 12 seven & eight year olds running around! I'll do post #3 tonight so you can see the BIG present!

My baby is 8! I'm going crazy here. Where did the time go? I was just a little 19 year old girl getting married and now I have 3 kids and my oldest is going to get baptized! I guess time flies when you're having fun. I try to think of all the fun things to come as our kids grow and enjoy it. I love my Daisy girl. She is fun, a little sassy, and is fun to be around(most of the time) She has a good head on her shoulder and I think she will do great in life. She knows what she wants and doesn't stop till she gets it. we lvoe you Daisy.

Daisy is ditching school today. We are going to see the Hannah Montana 3-D concert this afternoon. She opened the tickets this morning for her bday. Stay posted though because her best present is coming tonight at her party! I'll give you a hint. Jeff got his first one when he turned 8 and has always told Daisy that on her 8th bday she would get one too. It's black and white and has Roxy stickers on it. It's awesome!

Gordon B. Hinckley

I was reading on Deseret News last night about our dear prophet after my mom called and told me the news. I had very mixed emotions. I was of course very sad because I absolutely love GBH. He was just the coolest guy. but I couldn't help but think of the happiest reunion for him to be with his wife. It kind of hits home because my grandpa is 96 and my grandma passed away 6 years ago. My grandpa comes to live with my parents for the winter and he is just the most awesome person ever. He is so happy and so full of life but it always makes me sad because I know that he misses my grandma like crazy.
My most favorite memories of Pres. Hinckley was actually before he was the prophet. He was a counselor. I went with Amy (remember this?) when we were 15 to San Diego with her sister and brothers and their families for the temple dedication. We stayed in The Marriot where all the apostles were staying and saw a few of them. But Amy and I walked down to the temple together for the actual dedicatory prayer. We got to be in the celestial room where Pres. Hinckley was giving the prayer. Pres. Benson or Hunter was the prophet at the time (I don't remember) but they were sick so Pres. Hinckley came instead. He walked into the celestial room and I knew that he was a man of God. The spirit was so strong in that room and I think that was such a testimony strengthener for me at that age. Since then I've always enjoyed his words and his sense of humor. I really felt like I knew him. He will be greatly missed but I know that he has more work to do. Anyways on Deseret News.com they had a long long article on him. I can't beleive he accomplished so much in his life, and most of it was in the last 12 years while he was our prophet. Makes me think that I need to kick it up a notch.!

I swore I would never...

USE ONE OF THESE! I thought they were so tacky and so mean. And now look at me. I went out and bought one after deciding that Cooper is crazy! He only lasts so long in a shopping cart or stroller. At first he would freak out when we put it on him, but now he knows that it means he gets a little more freedom. The girls like to put the leash on him to take him on a walk when we are out front. See we do have a family dog:)

He's 18 months!

It's official. Cooper is now legally old enogh to go to nursery. He's actually been going since the beginning of the year, but there is just something great about your baby turning 1.5! I have walked the halls at church for too long! I've enjoyed sitting in Sunday School and RS for the past 3 weeks. He wasn't great yesterday so I missed Sunday School. I'm gonna have to do the shove-in-the-door-and-run routine next week. I took like 20 pictures and he would not look at the camera. He is very in Little Einsteins right now. The smile is because there singin the "pat pat pat" song. He's a little stink but he's just too much fun to complain. Love you Coop! My baby's growing up. Guess it's time for another one:)

New hair

Before:
After:

Lindsay has been wanting a new do for awhile now. When I had Cooper she cut her own hair at my mom's so she had to get a short bob. It actually turned out so cute that we kept it like that for awhile. We were at my mom's today and Corri was there so Lindsay got her birthday present from Corri. This is my absolute most favorite haircut.

Happy Birthday LINDSAY!

My Baby girl is the big 0-5 today! I can still remember the morning she was born very clearly in my mind. The first thing I remember seeing when she came out were her cute chubby cheeks. As you can see not much has changed. She is very proud of her chubby cheeks. Lindsay is the sweetest, tenderhearted little girl. She always gives me hugs and tells me
"You're my best mom" or "you're my nicest mom." (I don't know how many other moms she has) When the new year came, Jeff woke up and was telling the girls Happy New Year. Lindsay came in my room and asked why he was saying that so I explained it was a new year. Her eyes got so big and she had this huge smile and said " Now I get to go to kindergarten today!? "We kept telling her that next year she got to go to kindergarten so it was next year now. She was kind of disappointed. Anyways we love our Lindsay, Lulu, Lulu Hall, Baby Cakes! Have a very Happy Birthday!

I heart my Daisy girl!

I taught her Primary class yesterday and we talked about choosing the right and what we can do to CTR. Well last night when all the kids were in bed I came down to finish cleaning the kitchen and I found this on my dry erase board. It is so cute because every other word is misspelled. I love it!
Soudns like good new year's resolutions to me. I'm out- it's time for family home evning!:)

Is This Dangerous?

(The soap not Cooper's shirt.) So I was on the phone with my mom telling her how happy Cooper was in nursery and the whole way home he was just smiling and laughing and singing. I noticed as I was talking to her it was very quiet upstairs where Cooper was. Of course the rest of the family was standing right next to me listening to my whole conversation, don't know why. So I get off the phone and I see Cooper sitting in the laundy room with the lid off the detergent with the scoop and he is picking it up with the scoop and dumping it on himself and the floor. As soon as he saw me he smiled and said "shovel". Just like he was at the park playing with sand. I grabbed him and hurried and put him in the tub. He had it all over his sweater and shoes and pants. I really hope he didn't put any of it in his mouth. But we cleaned him up and the mess and got him dressed in his new shirt. This is just for you Jillyn & Brandon.

New Primary Classes

Cooper started nursery today! He did awesome! The teacher said not onse did he cry or act sad. That's not surprising because he is always happy. I checked on him a couple of times and he had about 3 big trucks up on the table and he was playing with them, happy as can be all by himself. Lindsay is in CTR5 and says she has the nicest teacher. Daisy is in CTR8 and doesn't have a teacher yet so I subbed today. So she can say she has the nicest teacher too. I forgot to take pictures of them before church so I took them after. Cooper is in the tub because he was getting cleaned from the detergent. He looked really studly today in his argile sweater.

Happy New Year!

I was going to post pics from Christmas but Jillyn took more pics of my kids than I did so just look at her blog! I wanted to post some of my favorite pics from our Christmas cards so here you go. Ok so the top one isn't my favorite. That is just so you know why Cooper isn't in any of the other pictures. He wanted nothing to do with the camera.

Avery is here, finally!

My newest nephew is here! Actually my only niece or nephew on my side so I really feel like an aunt! Chad and Corri went to the hospital on Saturday afternoon. Corri got induced but Avery didn't make his way into the world until Sunday morning at 7:45 am. It was not the easiest delivery but Corri seemed like it was nothing! We're just glad he's here. We've been waiting and waiting! And he shares a bday with Joseph Smith. It's a good day!

Super glue fixes everything!

If you read my last post, you read how we scarred Lindsay. Well I don't think she is thinking of that anymore. She had her own traumatic event last night and today. She fell on the sidewalk and split her chin open. I didn't think it was that bad until I took her to the bathroom to clean it. It was a deep cut. I thought for sure we needed to take her to urgent care. We called our family and got their opinion. We ended up putting a butterfly bandage on it last night. Well I put it on becasue Jeff got "lightheaded". Poor thing:) My dad looked at it this morning and he thought it looked ok. They have a doctor in their ward and he is awesome. My mom took Lindsay over to his house this morning and he looked at it and said he could fix it. They met me at his office and he fixed it with super glue! Who knew? He glued it shut with that and some bandages that will disolve in a few days. I am so glad she didn't need stitches. Their doctor is the nicest guy and he took his time and talked to us and Lindsay and made it so nice for us! He is so awesome! Did I mantion that already? Lindsay was brave, but I know she would have been terrified if she needed stitches. It goew back to the needle thing.

"I'm Scared! I don't want to have a baby!"

Ok calm down, I'm not pregnant. This isn't about me. Last night we were at the Day's for dinner and Jeff was giving Chad and Corri birth advice. Mr. Avery is due any day. So as he is giving them advice he says "oh yeah and Chad when Corri gets her epideral you might want to leave the room(he gets queesy) because the needle is huge and it made me sick." I told him to be quiet for Corri's sake because we all know that a first time mother doesn't need to be told certain things. Well they kept all talking about the needle and the pain and all that good stuff. Well all of the sudden Lindsay starts screaming her head off so I turned to see if she fell or what and she belts out "I'm scared! I don't want to have a baby!" I had no clue she was listening or even understood what we were talking about. We were all trying so hard to not laugh at her. I was holding her, but I was dying on the inside. Wait to go Jeff, you just scarred our 4 year old for life. So I told her not to worry, she doesn't have to have a needle. She can be brave like grandma!

The Real SANTA

Lindsay is totally convinced that we have seen the real Santa. We were sitting at Taco Bell a couple of weeks ago with my mom and sisters. This old guy was sitting at the other table. Of course Cooper kept looking over and talking to him. When he got up and left, he stopped by our table and said hi to Lindsay then gave her a wallet sized picture and walked out. It was the guy(who did have a white beard) dressed up in his red suit. Lindsay's eyes got so big. We told her that it must be Santa. He was dressed in normal clothes because if the kids knew it was Santa they would be on their best behavior and he wants to see how kids really act. It worked like a charm. She could not wait to tell Daisy when she got home from school. We also saw him outside a grocery store. (fat guy with a white beard and a red long sleeve shirt with suspenders) Then this guy came to tune our new piano and he had a white beard and glasses. Lindsay said when she walked down the stairs he looked up and smiled at her.
So the moral of the story: Any fat guy that has a white beard and somewhat resembles Santa- tell your kids that is the REAL SANTA and he's watching. It' s worked like a charm for us!

Bling Bling

Lindsay is so stinkin funny! I was sitting at the table with Daisy and we had a whole bunch of change we were counting for homework. Lindsay comes in and sees it and it gives her an idea. She comes back with a piece of paper and gets to work. She shows me her artwork. It's a guy with a necklace around his neck with a dollar sign on it. She makes the peace sign with both hands and says "Bling, Bling!" Daisy and I were laughing so hard! Then she drew another guy and it had a think bubble and in the think bubble was a dollar sign. She said, "He's thinking of money. Bling, Bling" Where does she come up with this stuff?

Lindsay is qiute the artist. She really is so creative with her drawings. Some of my favorite drawings: The Jonas Brothers (one of them had curly hair), a spider web, flower with a lady bug on the leaf, fall tree, our family(jeff & cooper were indians). They drew what they were thankful for in sunbeams and when Jeff picked her up her teachers were telling him how impressed theywere with her drawings. All the other kids just scribbled something and Lindsay had drawn the whole family and a picture of her bike. It was so cute. When she brings me her pictures I can totally tell what it is before she tells me. She's awesome!
