We love Utah!

Ok this is Lindsay literally stuffing her face at The Brick Oven! This is the best pizza place! If you've been to Provo and never been here you are missing out! It used to be called Heaps of Pizza so my mom still calls it Heaps but we go there every summer when we were little so it's a tradition but I think I would drive the 680 miles just to get there salad bar, garlic bread, combination pizza, and red cream soda. Oh man, I miss this place!

My mom and I took the kids up the canyon. We went to Vivian Park first. They have 2 playgrounds ( Cooper is obsessed with playgrounds) and a lake that kids can fish in. Daisy and my mom read a sign about how Vivian Park got its name. Daisy came over and told me the story and then said that she was going to name her first daughter Vivian.:)
Then we drove to Bridal Veil Falls. You know where they filmed Savannah Smiles. (the end) Anyways now my mom has my girls watching Savannah Smiles. The kids loved the water at the falls.

So pretty! There is a trail that you can bike, skateboard, walk all the way down or up the canyon.
This is Lindsay on top of the roof of the Conference Center. They planted these wildflowers because that is what the pioneers saw when they came into Salt Lake.
We did the whole temple square thing too. The flowers they have are absolutely amazing!
This is at the Gateway mall. We did Salt Lake in a day and got the ride the TRAX. Cooper was in heaven that he got to ride the train! This is a little splash pad. They begged all day to get wet so on our way back to the car we let them get wet.

The Gateway has a museum for kids that is called Discovery Gateway. My cousin Nicole took us and we ended up getting in free because she has a season pass and so does her friend so we got their extras. Thanks you Nicole! And also thanks for hanging out with us while we were up there. The girls loved Kate and want to play again! Anyways this place is so cool. We were there for 31/2 hours and my girls would have stayed longer but we were all hungry. Here is Daisy, Lindsay, and Kate playing music.

They had a water play place and Cooper was in heaven. The had boats you could float. Of course he just splashed!
They had an air vac outside. Cooper climbed right in. The kid in the front pushed a button and it sounds like the helicopter is starting. You should have seen Cooper jump out! It was so funny!
They had a grocery store so you could shop and scan your food and bag it. They had a construction site with lots of cars to ride on. They had these tubes that you could put balls in and they would go through all the tunnels. They had a whole floor with arts and crafts and Lego's. We had so much fun there!

More Utah

My grandma and grandpa Hansen with the Day grandkids. Chad & Corri came up for Memorial Day weekend so the Hansens could meet Avery. Look at his smile! I love their backyard. They have a pond but because of the weather the lily pads were just starting to bloom. So pretty!
Seriously my camera does no justice but these were the prettiest poppies ever! They were so bright orange. It looked like a painting! Why can't we grow these?

Pics from our Utah trip

I have so many pictures to post so I am going to do a little at a time. Here we are on the way up. Did I mention my kids were perfect for 11 hours? I have to brag cause that just doesn't happen! My mom copied a map for them and she highlighted the route we were taking. Every hour or so she would mark how far we went and she would give them a present. She went to the dollar store and got coloring books, crayons, cars, etc. Some of the presents were snacks. That made the trip fun. We used to do that when we were little. We drove through Jacobs Lake. This is Lee's Ferry bridge. It was sooooooooo windy! I had on a knit dress and I got out and the wind blew my dress up to my face! I was laughing so hard because this RV just pulled up and I'm sure they had quite the view! What is even funnier is when I was putting Cooper back in his car seat the RV was leaving and as they passed my dress flew up again. Just in case they didn't get a good peek before:)! We celebrated Brandon's birthday! I'm sure he was so excited that we got to drive up on his birthday. We did it just for him!:)
Jillyn and Brandon took us to Cabella's in Lehi. I took a lot more cool pictures here but I don't want to bore anyone. The kids loved looking at the animals. Upstairs they had a "shooting range". They have guns and you can shoot different targets. Lindsay could barely see over the counter and the guns were so stinkin heavy and she was shooting the ceiling. Every once in a while she would hit a target. She actually did as good as me and I was actually trying. I'm not a good aim at all.
I wish you could read this better. It is my great grandmas's grave. Her name was Daisy Belle Kirkham Christensen. That's who Daisy is named after. I had never taken her there before. I was glad I was able to take her to the Lehi cemetery with my uncle, grandma and grandpa. I have a lot of ancestores buried there and is was neat to see where they were and have my grandma tell me stories about each one.
When I took a picture of the girls in their cute dresses, Cooper was feeling a bit left out I guess. He jumped up on the bench and said "Mom, cheese!" I love the under bite!
I hope that wasn't too boring. I'll post more later.

Elder Day is home!

Cooper anxiously awaiting the arrival of his uncle he hasn't met yet! His shirt says I'M WITH THE BAND. My mom found it for him. It was the perfect shirt for Uncle Randy. Elder Day still doing his missionary work all the way off the plane. We were yelling and screaming his name and he was so involved in his conversation with this guy. It was so cool! He is so stinkin' cute too and has the best personality!

Elder Day got to meet 2 new nephews, Cooper and Avery! The girls were so excited!
I love this picture! It totally shows their personalities! Randy being silly and Lindsay laughing. I think she was the most excited! She was giggling and smiling the whole time!
Lindsay thought she was strong enough to carry his suitcase. She wasn't.
We're so glad we got to be together as a family again! (We missed you Kristin and Brandon!) He got released that night which we all got to be there for.

So yes it was my birthday yesterday. I think it was so fun to have all my family around and laugh and have a good time and eat cake and ice cream!
Also I just have to add another thing about Randy. When we went to the stake presidents office, he asked a couple of us what we liked and missed about Randy. I think Devin summed it up best. He said that Randy is kind of like the glue that keeps our family together. It is so true. He is so happy all the time. I really don't ever remember a time in my life that he was grouchy or mean or anything. He has a positive attitude about everything and always has a smile on our face. Each one of us were so happy and excited for him to come home! We missed him but we know that he did the best thing he could have done for the last 2 years! Welcome home Wienie!

Utah Trip

I found these cute dresses at Target. I love them!
My grandma and grandpa. I'm glad we were able to stay with them and let them see the kids. They thought Cooper was so funny! I hopw we didn't over welcome our stay because we love going to Utah!
Our trip was fabulous! My mom drove up with me on May 21st and the kids were perfect! And our DVD player was broken so we didn't even watch movies! Jillyn and I left Monday afternoon and drove to Cedar City and stayed with some of her friends then drove the rest of the way home yesterday. Again, perfect children! We had so much fun. I don't have a lot of time to post all the fun things we did so that will come later.
Today I am getting a good birthday present. We are going to the airport to pick up Elder Day from his Orlando Florida Mission! We can't wait!

Do you know him?

Ok so I stole this picture off a blog. But I have a connection so it's ok. My 2 sisters, (Jamee and Toree) YW's had a car wash for a fundraiser for camp. Well this guy, who I'm sure we all know, pulled into the parking lot and motioned for them to come over. Anyways, one of the girls went over and he handed over $200!!!!!!! He turned around in the parking lot and was going to leave when the girls realized it was Shaq so they chased him down and asked for a picture! Jamee is in the back to the left of him. Anyways he was out doing whatever it is he does for the police and saw the signs and decided to stop by. How cool is that?

****I'm taking a blogging vaca for a couple of weeks. We're off to Utah. But don't worry, Jeff is going to hold the fort down and work hard so I can have gas money to make it up and back!:)

The Best Day Ever!

If you are frequent Spongebob watchers you are singing that song in your head. (The best day ever!) That song kind of sums up our thoughts on this glorious day!
Oh yeah! They're back. The Hall fam is very excited!

While the sisters are away.....

the brother will play! This is just a preview of what next school year will be like. Just me and Coop. Ok not really. And he really didn't drink that pop. I just gave him a drink and took a picture. Daisy was at school and Lindsay went to a friends house. I had to run a couple of quick errands and we were in the car and Cooper kept saying , "I,I."(french fries) So I actually got him a kids meal. His very own. And the sisters never have to know. It will be our little secret! :)

My crazy kiddos

Wouldn't you know it? I finally get a cute picture of Cooper and the girls look like this. I don't think I will ever have a perfect picture, but this totally fits their personalities so I guess that makes it perfect.

Cinco de Mayo

We had a fabulous Cinco de Mayo. Anything excuse to eat mexican food. And of course. We had to have a pinata. This thing was so strong! We were using a plastic bat and we all took swings at it. But nothing. So we got out the metal bat and gave it to Daisy and stood back. Then I took a few hits. I'm telling you, this is a good way to relieve any stress. I was hitting it as hard as I could and I opened it a little bit. Jeff wanted to finish it off so he took the metal bat and hit it as hard as he could and the plastic attatched to the pinata broke through and Spongebob went flying across the backyard! The kids thought it was great!
Nice form!
Poor Spongebob had no clue what was going on!

Just us

Ok so this is the only picture I got this weekend. Jeff and I went to the cabin this weekend. Just us, no kids! It was great. We stopped in Payson Friday night and ate at Chilis since we had no kids to fight with. Then we decided to go to a movie. We saw 21. So we made it to the cabin at like 11pm. We slept in on Saturday and then just chilled. We went on a long motorcycle ride. I seriously don't remember the last time I got to go on a motorcycle ride all alone! We had alot of fun! I came back refreshed and ready to be a mom again. The best part is that the kids had a ton of fun too. they thought it was kind of like a trip for them too because they got to pack their suitcases and go to grandma's. Thank you so much Day's. I know we can always leave them with you and they will have fun and be loved! We appreciate it so much! And thanks Jeff. I'm glad I got to hang out with you!

Ladies Man

This is what happens when you have 2 older sisters! I came upstairs to see Daisy putting all the babies around Cooper. She was having a little photo shoot. She was telling him to show his teeth in this one. He's going in for a kiss!
Then he decided he needed to go get milk at the store.
Just to prove that he's not a sissy! He put the babies down to play cars. He definitely is all boy. He just likes to show his sensitive side sometimes.

Tagged

We got tagged by the Lara's. I have to write 5 things that each of my kids like/love. So here you go........
Daisy
1. She loves to be outside riding bikes, scooter, heely's, playing at the park.
2. She is quite the perfectionist. Almost OCD if you ask me.
3. Daisy loves to draw and water color.
4. She loves all the teeny bopper shows on Disney Channel.
5. She likes to sleep in. (and she loves her bridgie)
Lindsay
1. Lindsay loves mom. (I asked her what she loves and I kid you not, this was her first answer.)
2. She loves to draw. She is very articulate and so creative.
3. She loves anything miniature. She always wants the littlest toys. I find pieces all over the house. (or the vacuum does.)
4. She is a very goofy girl. Makes us laugh.
5. She loves her bridgie. (As you can see, it has had better days.)

Cooper

1. I'm sure you already know, but this kid loves, loves motorcycles or anything with wheels. Everytime we pull in the garage he points to the motorcycles and yells 'go go'!

2. He loves his bridgie too. His baby blue chenille bridgie. Jeff loves it too:)

3. He loves babies. Real of fake, he is so nice to them. He loves to hold them.

4. He loves to be in the dirt. If he is in the grass, he will find the one little spot with dirt and sit in it and play in it.

5. He loves Little Einsteins. He's a little obsessed actually. He can be a little couch potato.

So there you have it. Random, useless facts about the Hall kids.

Daisy has 3 great grandpas and 2 of them were able to attend her baptism. I think that is great! We get to see Grandpa Ben (right) when he comes to Sunday dinner at the Hall's and at family parties. Grandpa Day (left) lives in Idaho but has come down during the winter for the past 6 winters. He lives with my parents. We look forward to it every year. He is 96 and he is just the coolest guy. He is so spiritual and I am glad that I was able to get my patriarchal blessing from him when I was a teenager. He just left to go back home last week so I wanted to post this about him. We are always sad when he leaves. He always jokes and says well I might see you next year or I might not. My Grandma Day died in January of '02 and Grandma Hall died in May of '06. It is hard to not see them with their other halves but both are always happy and excited to see their kids, grand kids, and great grand kids. I think it is so neat to be able to have so many generations together at the same time! We sure love our grandpas! I think it's neat that I have this picture because not everyone can say that they had 2 great grandpas at their baptism. We'll see you next year grandpa!

FINALLY!!!
P.S. Jillyn- this is for you:)

Just because

Oh how I love when my girls have freshly cut hair! It looks so nice and clean. Plus they're just too cute to not post!
Daisy's hair is getting so long! We cut about an inch off.

And I even got the Coopster to smile:)! Today is a good day!

America got it wrong!

Ok I didn't really want to post this because I'm not obsessed, but this really annoyed me. I think Michael Johns is good and he did a heck of a better job than Kristy Lee Cook. I mean come on. she should have been LONG GONE! Do we agree? Anyways my girls and I were really sad he got voted off last Thursday. Daisy was yelling at the TV. We're just passionate at our house. I'm telling you if Kristy stays on another week I'm gonna scream!

GO DAVID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Don't you love him too?

Cabin

We love the cabin. It's fun to get away for a couple of days and do absolutely nothing. We took our friends, The Beals family with us and the girls had fun playing with all the boys. We had 2 eight year olds, 2 five year olds, a 3 yr old, a 1 1/2 yr old and a 6 month. Are we crazy? My two girls were the only girls so let me tell you, it was a loud cabin. But it was alot of fun and we can't wait to go again! Cooper loves the quad and motorcycle. He would let Jeff ride him around all day. Which as you know, Jeff doesn't mind. He finally has someone to go with.
All our crazy kids, minus the baby. Lindsay has stickers on her face. Not chicken pox.
Lindsay and Brendan decided to hand cuff themselves together while they ate popcorn and watched a movie.
Cooper is hammin it up for the camera!

They're funny!

Sunday night the girls were outside swinging and being so loud and laughing. They came running in and told me I had to come see what they were doing.
They had these blow up sports people and had them tucked into their clothes and said they were growing out of them. Daisy was also jump roping with them. I was laughing so hard. I love when they come up with stuff on their own. They are so proud and think they are so funny! Ok- This girl loves to draw on herself, or anything. She took a Sharpie to her blanket and wrote her name on it and drew a picture on it. I always see pen on her legs, arms, feet, etc. So we are always having talks how we don't write on ourselves. So I'm helping her brush her teeth one night and I was cleaning her earrings and I see this. Blue marker all up the back of her ear. What!? So I check the other ear and sure enough it's there too. I showed Jeff and he had to leave the room because he was laughing. He couldn't believe that a child would think to take a marker to the back of the ear. She's pretty entertaining.
